DESCRIPTION

Riparian planting on East Fork of Chimacum Ck to accompany a stream restoration project (see HWS project # 02-01-013, EF RM 0.57 Stream Restoration, for more information). Maintenance of the riparian area is conducted by the North Olympic Salmon Coalition.

In 1999 NOSC added large woody debris and meanders to Durgan's property of Chimacum Creek. Following that construction was also a tree planting of conifers. The latest planting is an extension of the buffer. The planting consisted of shrubs and small trees that are beneficial to wildlife.
