It ensures that the goal of these large-scale endeavors, to restore high-quality functioning salmon habitat, are achieved by establishing healthy riparian vegetation that provides foraging opportunities and improved nearshore habitat
This stewardship project implements adaptive management strategies for two prior RCO-funded salmon restoration projects on the Union River Estuary, on a property permanently preserved by Great Peninsula Conservancy. It ensures that the goal of these large-scale endeavors, to restore high-quality functioning salmon habitat to benefit ESA-listed Hood Canal Summer Chum, are achieved by establishing healthy riparian vegetation that provides foraging opportunities and improved nearshore habitat.
