DESCRIPTION

Reach analysis to inform the design and construction of channel restoration, including engineered log jams (ELJs) to slow the flow and allow sediment accumulation in the current main channel and riparian planting in key areas. Channel restoration will incorporate features that allow for natural development of log jams and stable vegetated islands in the floodplain. The planning phase will also include working with landowners to identify potential easements along the developed north bank to restore and protect riparian functions.
