DESCRIPTION
A tributary to lower Salmon Creek was diverted out of its original location through the lower valley and into a small pond and over a steep cliff into middle section of Salmon Creek. This tributary, called Houck Creek, was creating significant amounts of sediments as a result of the diverted water pouring over the bank. In 2002, several loads of angular rock were dumped over the edge to breakup the flow of water and stop sediment recruitment. Project #01-01-010 proposes to re-route the stream back into the lower valley in its original channel at some point in the future when the landowner is willing.
