DESCRIPTION
The Hood Canal Salmon Enhancement Group used this grant to replace two undersized concrete culverts that blocked fish migration and access to spawning habitats in McElhaney Creek. A new 7ft bottomless concrete culvert was installed, allowing for fish passage at all flow levels. This project opened up 1 mile of accessible spawning habitat and 285 forested watershed acres for salmon habitat.
