DESCRIPTION
The Hood Canal Salmon Enhancement Group used this grant to replace an undersized culvert (6% gradient) that had prevented fish passage through Alderbrook Creek. A new 12ft bottomless culvert was installed and lined with mix sized gravel substrate for spawning habitat. In addition, large woody debris and weirs were constructed to create pools and control water flow velocity. This project opened up 200 acres of upland watershed habitat for salmonid habitat.
