DESCRIPTION

The Hood Canal Salmon Enhancement Group used this grant to replace an undersized culvert (perched 2 feet) that blocked fish passage through Bear Creek. In place of the old culvert, a 50ft x 14ft x 6ft bottomless aluminum box culvert was installed to allow greater fish access. This project opened up 965 acres of mostly undeveloped forested watershed that includes 3 miles of spawning stream.
