DESCRIPTION
The Hood Canal Salmon Enhancement Group used this grant to remove a railroad bridge that acted as a barrier for juvenile salmon. The bridge was removed and the road was decommissioned as part of a larger plan to restructure the multi-use trail. Large woody debris were placed in the stream to create additional habitat. The project opened up 651 acres, including 2.1 miles of stream habitat and 21 acres of wetland habitat.
