DESCRIPTION
The Hood Canal Salmon Enhancement Group used this grant to replace an undersized pipe that plunged water into the downstream end of Buffin Creek. The size and location of the pipe made fish passage impossible. The pipe was replaced with a 12ft culvert with a .03% gradient. This project opened up 3 miles of spawning habitat as well as 970 acres of watershed and 30 acres of wetland salmonid habitat.
