DESCRIPTION

This project removed a defunct boat ramp at Walker County Park in Hammersley Inlet to restore approximately 500 square feet of beach for forage fish spawning and sediment recruitment. The resulting beach is more usable to a variety of nearshore fish and wildlife. Sediment transport blocked by the raised concete blocks was restored, reducing localized scour and maintaining natural beach profiles.
