DESCRIPTION

From the DS end of the Green Creek Weir Removal project (13-1388) to the mouth of Green Creek where it enters into the Willapa River, creek and riparian functions will be restored (approximately 780'). There is a large area of erosion that will have LWD placed, the bank on the riverside will be sloped back to provide access to the floodplain and the riparian area to be replanted. All of the rip-rap placed at the mouth of Green Creek will be removed. LWD will be placed along the newly widened channel to provide channel diversity and complexity. Both banks will be planted with native trees and shrubs. There is an existing small bridge that crosses Green Creek, which will need to be replaced when the banks are pulled back. This project will connect to 2 previously completed SRFB projects upstream.
