DESCRIPTION
The Willapa Bay Juvenile Fish Habitat Usage Assessment project is designed to investigate current estuarine habitat use, particularly by juvenile salmonids, and to provide a scientific basis for the selection and prioritization of future salmonid habitat restoration and protection projects within the Willapa Bay estuary. These data will also be used for determining relative abundance, community composition, emigration timing and life history variation of the juvenile fish utilizing the estuary. The salmonid species that will benefit include Chinook, coho and chum salmon and steelhead (rainbow), bull and coastal cutthroat trout.
