DESCRIPTION
Facilitate and fund cost share for farm pads (and escape routes) in the in Grays Harbor County and Lewis County to provide elevated areas for livestock, farm equipment, feed, and farm chemicals during flood events.
Two conservation districts received money for farm pads, Lewis Conservation District and Grays Harbor Conservation District.
Lewis Conservation District performed improvements and repairs to two existing farm pads (Howell and Lieferman).
The number of animals protected by farm pad development: 50 Cow calf pairs
Number of pieces of equipment to be protected by farm pad development: 4 tractors and two bailers
The remainder of the money was returned for work in the Lower Satsop basin.
Grays Harbor Conservation District constructed two farm pads (Glick and Shaffner) and then returned the remainder of the money for work in the Lower Satsop basin.
