DESCRIPTION
The project proposes to reconnect an isolated fish stream to Salzer Creek South Fork and enhance the surrounding wetland/riparian area in an effort to alleviate flooding and improve fish habitat. The proposed restoration will reconnect approximately 5 acres of floodplain, re-establish a natural channel migration zone, enhance/and or rehabilitate wetlands, and enhance salmon habitat. It is anticipated that the reestablished channel will provide habitat for coho salmon and cutthroat trout.
