DESCRIPTION
This project is a restoration and was a design-only project (Salmon River Design Project #12-1326)for the replacement ofa fishblocking culvert.Project is located on the Quinault Indian Reservation on Allotment 470 in section 23 of 23N 12W in Grays Harbor County, near Queets, Washington. The stream is a tributary to Salmon River which is a tributary of the Queets River. This culvert 2312W02A is a 3' x 70' corrugated steel pipe with a 5 ½ foot hydraulic drop with a 0 % passability rating.The goal of this project is to provide fish access to the upstream habitat and to reduce siltation issues that are associated with an undersized culvert. Habitat is mainly rearing habitat for coho and spawning/rearing habitat for cutthroat.
