Schedule Start Date: 1/25/2024 End Date: 9/25/2025
Category Category: Restoration
DESCRIPTION
The D-3400 road has impacted surface water flow and water levels downstream, impounding water above the barrier. This contributes to summer drying of James Pond which causes die-offs in the nearly water-less pond. This project seeks to restore habitat quality and connectivity, increase downstream water levels, and stabilize and re-join fragmented mudminnow populations. The Upper James Pond restoration ties in with the Quillayute Reach 2 Restoration priority project (Salmon Restoration Strategy 2.2.2.1.3).
