Project title: South Fork Calawah Assessment
Description: Conduct reach assessment of ~2 miles of the SF Calawah River from Hyas Creek to Klahanie Campground, and provide conceptual designs for habitat improvement(s).
Location: Lower 2 miles of SF Calawah River (Hyas Creek to NF Calawah)

This project completed data collection and compilation of existing data; field data collection of habitat and channel features; hydrologic and hydraulic analysis via 2D hydraulic modeling; geomorphic analysis to document the processes and disturbances that influence the channel and floodplain conditions seen today; conceptual alternatives were developed and preferred alternative was selected with stakeholders (USFS-ONF staff, Quileute Tribe staff, WDFW, NGOs, local Lead Entity Group, etc.); and finally preliminary design drawings and reports were drafted and completed. Throughout these project steps, we/the sponsor conducted outreach and TU's project manager was in regular communications with partners, organized stakeholder meetings, and stewarded the project through completion.
