DESCRIPTION
The project will remove four undersized, velocity barrier culverts in Clallam county Washington and replace them with an appropriately sized bridge (70') to allow fish passage. The project is an RMAP project located on the 5OOO mainline at approximately the 4 mile marker on Rayonier property. Colby Creek is a tributary to the Dickey River which is part of the Quillayte watershed. The project was identified as a priority project in 2006 by the Quileute tribe when Jay Hunter compiled a list of priority projects within the Quillayute system. Colby Creek culvert replacement will open up 4.1 miles of spawning and rearing habitat above the existing culverts.
