DESCRIPTION

This project was completed in several phases.

Funds were used to assist in purchase of the bridge structure and supplies from Contech. Installation is the remaining task to be completed associated with the overall project, which will be done during the summer of 2015. This project has also received partial PCSR funding in fiscal years 2010 and 2012, performance metrics will be captured in FY 2012. This award was expended by 6/30/2015 for construction materials, however the actual placement of the bridge will occur in the latter half of the year during the appropriate fish window. Additional information on this PCSRF project can be found at: https://www.webapps.nwfsc.noaa.gov/apex/f?p=309:19:::::P19_PROJECTID:39866914.

Project funds were used to supplement budget costs for construction for an arched concrete bridge at the Kabusie Creek crossing on the BIA Public Road Makah Passage, located on the Makah Reservation. This project was a major milestone in our Tsoo-Yess Basin Anadromous Passage project to re-establish stream habitat floodplain connectivity between the Tsoo-Yess River and its associated floodplain. A concrete bridge replaced the impassable non-functioning culvert. This project was designed to directly benefit fish production by restoring fish passage to one mile of habitat. Planning and preparation for the project started many years ago, however installation was completed during the summer of 2015. Additional information on this PCSRF project can be found at: https://www.webapps.nwfsc.noaa.gov/apex/f?p=309:19:::::P19_PROJECTID:39480438.
