DESCRIPTION
This fish barrier is on a small tributary to Dickey River in Clallam County. The Dickey River, about 230 meters downstream of this site, supports chinook, chum, coho, steelhead and cutthroat trout. Correction of this barrier would provide off channel rearing for chinook, chum, coho, steelhead and cutthroat trout in a 2.3 acre wetland pond.
Geyer: This stream is known to provide a passage link between the Dickey River and the overwintering pond imediately upstream of the culvert for coho and cutthroat trout. Fish have been sighted in the stream in fall and winter months. The stream is an intermittant stream and fish passage is improbable during summer low flows. The current culvert is a velocity barrier during high flow conditions.
