DESCRIPTION
This is a FFFPP project.
Ecotrust has 7 culverts on tributaries to EF Dickey River. This describes the lower priority sites: B, D, E, F, H and I. Site B is 67% passable with little habitat gain. Site D is a complete barrier but has very limited habitat gain and questionable fish use. Sites E and F are likey non-fish bearing with an insignificant amount of habitat upstream. Sites H and I, on the same tributary, are both mostly passable; an area of subsurface flow may prevent fish from reaching site I. The EF Dickey River supports Chinook, chum, coho, steelhead and resident cutthroat trout. These tributaries are too steep for chum and some are too steep for coho and chinook.
The 4 lower priority sites with a mapped stream would provide a total gain of 0.64 miles. Miles of upstream habitat for each lower priority site with a mapped stream are: B: 0.15; E: 0.13; H: 0.46; I: 0.20.
